We recently spoke with current Kankakee County Auditor. Questions for elected official Jake Lee. 1. What do you hope to accomplish with another term as county Auditor? If I am re-elected, my number one priority is to get the elected office restored to where it legally belongs to increase efficiencies, accountability and transparency in government operations. The duties, powers, and functions that were removed from the elected office and placed under the County Board must be returned, along with a proper budget to carry out those duties, powers, and functions. The Auditor’s Office belongs to the people, and I intend to make sure it is returned to the people as intended when the office was created in Kankakee County in 1964. 2. Brand New adventure ahead.
Kankakee County area gets Businesses all the time. However this is a new kind of adventure Park on the way. Opening in late April "Hero City Adventure Park." Kankakee County’s entertainment value will rise substantially when Hero City Adventure Park opens its doors in Bradley this April. The 21,000-square-foot entertainment park will open their doors and feature something for everyone ages 10 months and up! Construction on the Park moves at a steady pace inside the former home of Office Max, which closed in November 2017. While the building lay quietly empty. The couple were awaiting their opportunity to be positioned into different avenues of entertainment. We are all looking forward to the opening of Hero City Adventure Park is ran by owners John Chu and Linda Wu.
